The Park District is proud to announce the new playground at Laverty Park, thanks to a NatureWorks grant through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Anderson residents, including children, chose the new design plan after reviewing 3 design alternatives and providing input at the Open House
Improvements to this park have been made through the assistance of the park’s neighborhood committee. Much thanks goes to these individuals for all their hard work!

Park is open from dawn to dusk. During the winter months, no snow removal is done at Laverty Park.

Acquisition
The land for the original Laverty Park was comprised of two non-contiguous parcels of land. In 1978, a parcel was acquired by court order. In 1995, a parcel containing 4.5 acres was transferred to the Anderson Township Green Space efforts.
Description
This park is comprised of wooded terrain, paved hike/bike trail, a playground, a small basketball court with two hoops, a small ball diamond, and a generous amount of open space to run and play.
