The Park is open from dawn to dusk, excluding special events.  During the winter months, one restroom will remain open; in the event of severe weather, the restrooms will remain closed.

Opening Date
1978. The Park was re-dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 1997 to all Anderson residents who served in the US armed services. 

Originally known as Forest Park, the 12.2 acres for Veterans Park was purchased in 1978.  The Park received a ‘face lift’ in 1997, made possible by a NatureWorks grant awarded in 1996.

This park features the “Lucky Lanier All Children’s Playground” designed with the physically challenged child in mind. A large reservable shelter sits beside the playground while a .4 mile jogging trail encircles the entire park. This park also sports a top-notch ball diamond, 2 soccer fields, a basketball court & small reservable shelter with a fire ring (permit required).
