IMPROVED
Playground OPEN FOR PLAY
The
playground at Veterans Park was initially constructed in 1988. It was one
of the first playgrounds of its type in the Tri-state area that was specifically
designed to include children with disabilities. By partnering with the Kiwanis
Club of Anderson Hills and using our own labor, the aging equipment and facility
at Veterans Park have now been replaced with new, more advanced play structures.
The surrounding playscape has also been renovated. The total cost of the
construction was $74,694.83, with the material cost being covered by the
Kiwanis Club of Anderson Hills and other outside donations and fundraisers.
The new playground will open in the spring.

8531 Forest Road
The Park is open from dawn to dusk, excluding special events. During the winter months, one restroom will remain open; in the event of severe weather, the restrooms will remain closed.
