2006 Continuing Honoree: Chris Rowswell
With such a large number of family and friends who loved him, it was as though Chris Rowswell always had his own cheering section. Chris was a linebacker and lacrosse player for Anderson High School and Marietta College, who had the luxury of having so many friends and family who loved to watch him compete at both of his favorite sports. Chris was proud that all of his family members took such a vested interest in his sporting activities.

Pictures and memories of everyday moments remind Chris’ family and friends of his great sense of humor, his infectious smile, his profound love for his mother and his deep respect for all the people with whom he came in contact. Chris was an extremely hard working and responsible young man who was very pleased with the person he was becoming. During the last couple years of his life, Chris found Jesus Christ and had accepted him as his Savior. It is believed that this brought to Chris a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility and he passed away knowing that he was now in the arms of the Lord.

Chris was a great reflection of his family, a family whose love for him will echo in their hearts for the rest of their lives.
