2010 Honoree: Nina Volz
Bursting with pride since the day she was born, Bob and Sallie Volz cherished their daughter, Nina. She was daddy’s girl from the very start, and was given heartfelt nicknames such as “Boo” and “Madam” by her mom. After being the only child for years, Nina was joined by her little brother, Evan. Nina and Evan spent much of their childhood time together, and grew even closer as they got older. Nina Marie Volz had a deep enthusiasm for life and was not afraid of chasing her dreams.

Nina loved to laugh and have fun. She lived each day of her 21 years with grace and an endearing passion. Nina traveled to many places around the world, including Amsterdam, Cancun, and Punta Cana. She even lived in Los Angeles for a short period of time.

Nina loved to shop, and prided herself in finding unique treasures in unusual places. Having a true love for fashion, Nina always made a statement with her “edgy” trends. From gothic to vintage, Nina could pull off any look with her natural beauty.

Nina was not only beautiful on the outside, she was a wonderful person on the inside, too. She lit up a room even though she held herself in a humble, soft-spoken way. Kind-hearted and genuine, Nina always had a smile and a nice word to say. Her warm, considerate, and friendly manner made people naturally drawn to her.

She had many dear and tender friendships, but most of all, it was her family that Nina held close to her heart. We are blessed by the sweet and precious memories of our special girl.
