2010 Honoree: Rosanne Martin
Rosanne’s life was one of caring for others even while enduring her own pain and limitations. She was a caregiver, a loyal and devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, daughter, and much more.

She began a 42-year nursing career in the Navy and continued work at area hospitals and medical organizations. She showed her capacity to love others by providing her time and talents to the Medical Volunteers of Cincinnati, and by taking care of her neighbors in need. She was always the one to go to for all things medical because of her wide-range knowledge in medicine and her untiring ability to help others.

Rosanne was devoted to her family and provided them with constant love and support. She was adored by her 5 grandsons who loved going to her house for “grandma time.” After Rosanne died, her daughter delivered her first granddaughter, Anna Rose. We know she’s enjoying watching her grow.

She was a rock to her family and when the unexpected diagnosis of uterine cancer came, she wanted to fight. Now, 2 1/2 years later, we are trying to remember her with honor. We’d like to give her the tribute she deserves through Run to Remember.
