How to register for a class

1). Search the classes listed below. Click on for more information including the current number of enrollees and the number of spaces available for that class.

2). Select the class by clicking on the shopping cart icon on the left.

3). If you would like to continue to add classes, keep clicking the shopping cart button for each class that you want to enroll in.

4). When complete, click the "Enroll Now" button that appears at the bottom-left part of the screen.

5). You will now advance to the next steps for online enrollment. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to log in at this point.

6). If a family member is missing from your household, please call our office at 388-5082 for the member to be added.

    Register in advance. Would your child know what to do if the child they were babysitting were choking? Does your child babysit younger siblings? Your child will learn the skills needed to be a Better Babysitter! Students will learn first aid, infant and child CPR (information only and does not include certification), safety and creative age-appropriate activities. This class includes guest speakers from the local police and fire departments. All students will receive their own first aid kit to take home. Class is appropriate for boys and girls, and is interactive and fun with role play and hands-on instruction.

    Family Outdoor Adventure Series: Star Party with the Cincinnati Observatory

    Register in advance. Look! Up in the sky... Is it the moon, Venus, Jupiter or Saturn? If conditions are right, all of these may be discovered during a night at Johnson Hills Park. Join Dean Regas, astronomer for the Cincinnati Observatory, as he helps observers view the night sky and also learn how to use a telescope. If the clouds donít cooperate, a presentation about the wonders of the night sky will still be shared. Your summer party will be complete... with an ice cream treat! This program is intended for families with children 7 years and up. Space is limited.

    320301 - Summer Mini Camp

    These half day camps take place outside at Johnson Hills Park and Veterans Park. Campers enjoy arts & crafts, activities & games, snack & special theme days. Camps at Johnson Hills Park will focus on nature themes. All campers must be potty trained and meet the age requirement by the start of each camp.

    Mini Camps are held outside and children should dress appropriately for outdoor play. If weather becomes an issue, staff may utilize the rain site at the Anderson Parks RecPlex. Detailed camp information distributed upon registration.

    320401 - Travel Camp

    Travel camp is for campers who like adventure! Explorers go on a different field trip each day, and the week ends with an overnight "camp out" on Thursday night! Pick up times vary daily according to field trip. Detailed trip information will be distributed after registration. Extended camp is available as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 6:00 p.m. Campers must be 10 years of age by January 1, 2018.

    330205 - Cross Training Circuits

    Register in advance. Cross Training Circuits are designed to help your performance in all sports and activities: jumping, running, accelerating, pushing, pulling, swinging, power and endurance. CTC assists in injury prevention, quickened recovery from activity, and improved overall fitness and conditioning. Stay motivated and boredom-free with Cross Training! Bring a mat and a water bottle. This class takes place outdoors on the RecPlex Patio.

    Classes are instructed by Sharon Chamberlin, an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer specializing in metabolic conditioning and a NESTA Fitness Nutrition Coach. Classes may be rescheduled due to instructorís vacation dates.

    Parents and their little athletes share in a variety of fun games and activities as they are introduced to the sport of soccer. You help your child participate at his or her pace while instructors lead the activities. Shin guards are recommended.

    SLUGGERS:
    Batter up! This instructional T-Ball program is designed to teach boys and girls the basic FUNdamentals of baseball. Make new friends and learn the beginning skills of throwing, hitting, fielding and player positions through age-appropriate drills and activities. Parents must stay on-site during the program. Each player needs to bring a ball glove.

    KICKERS:
    Boys and girls will be introduced to the basic FUNdamentals of soccer during this five-week program. Make new friends and learn to pass, dribble and shoot the soccer ball. Parents must stay on-site during the program. All participants should wear shin guards.

    350901 - Beginner Lacrosse Camp

    Register in advance. Discover the excitement of lacrosse! In this camp, hosted in conjunction with the Anderson Community Lacrosse Club, boys and girls will be taught the fundamentals of lacrosse by experienced and passionate coaches. Loaner equipment (girls-stick and goggles; boys-stick, helmet, shoulder pads, gloves) will be provided. Please wear cleats and bring a mouth guard and water bottle. Space is limited. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. each night.

    351101 - Pickleball League

    Pickleball is a badminton/tennis/table tennis-like sport and one of the fastest growing sports in the area. This fun and social game is perfect for all ages, easy to learn and provides a great physical workout. This doubles league consists of menís, womenís and mixed couples. It is a casual league and includes beginner and experienced divisions. There will be eight weeks of game play
    (three games per date). Game balls will be provided. Players should have their own paddle.
